Join us on Saturday, September 2, 2023, for a milestone event as the Hornet football team will play on the Fullerton College campus at Hal Sherbeck Field for the first time since its inaugural season in 1916.

Working as a ball-boy for Sherbeck, playing for Gene Murphy, and coaching with Tim Byrnes, Head Coach Garrett Campbell has blue and gold in his veins. He invites all current students, faculty, staff, and the community to join us for this historic game against the visiting Santa Barbara City College Vaqueros. To honor the legacy of Hall of Fame Coach Hal Sherbeck, the first home game of every succeeding season will be called the “Sherbeck Football Classic”.

This momentous event will kick off with an Alumni/VIP reception at 4:00 PM. A pregame ceremony featuring our new Fullerton College President, Dr. Cynthia Olivo, will follow. The big game between the Hornets and Vaqueros is at 6:00 PM sharp.

The Funds raised will go to the Hal Sherbeck Scholarship Fund for student-athletes.
